What to get the wife for her bday?

Turning 36. Pregnant. Can't drink for another 5 months.
Picky about decor and furniture.
Can't get a massage.
I don't dare get makeup.
Jewelry is hit and miss with her.
Won't even try any clothes right now.
Kitchen and household stuff is a no no.

She likes taking care of the yard and garden... when it's not 104 degrees and smoky outside.

She basically orders whatever she needs/wants on Amazon on the daily.

We already have a drawer full of "toys"....

No real hobbies.

I usually plan vacations for her b day. Out of town get aways, gotten lucky a few times planning around concerts of bands she likes. But plan a vaca after the baby and arrange someone to watch the kid(s). Done, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, NY, a local TX San Antonio, there was more right now I'm forgetting, skipped last year due to COVID

I just went through this last week, my wife is about to pop in 2 months. She ended up making the plans since she didn't like anything i suggested (camping). We ended up staying at a bed and breakfast an hour away, and we went to dinner at an expensive farm to table restaurant that was actually awesome. I was even able to wear shorts and a t shirt!

She just turned 31 and we already have 2 kids so that is why we stayed so close to home.

 

what about a swimming pool pass?

maybe she is craving a certain type of food and you two can go try a place that has it/ order in from the place

maybe a plant or shrub which last a long time which you two can plant in the garden

what about a foot bath/massager

 

I feel your pain, 20th anniversary is right around the corner and I'm stumped.

we have already done that. We were going to go on a 20 day trip without the kids but knew I had a coworker quitting that was going to mess it up so we did a week at the dunes in Oregon, a week on the beach in Hawaii and a week in the Idaho forest. Plus a couple of other smaller trips. Probably going to get a card, flowers and a nice meal. I’ve bought so many Tacoma parts I told her not to get me anything.

 

If she buys her own things that she likes or wants or needs...then physical gifts may not necessarily be a gesture she will count as an action that makes her feel loved.

What have you noticed that she enjoyes the most with you that she does not do for herself? When you figure that out...that is the gift with the highest chance of being truly appreciated and cherished by her. It could be something as simple as affectionate words...or physical touch...or time and attention...

 

get her an engraved ring or watch? Renew vows? I have a while to think about this but those were a few on my list

 

Post Hotel... Reserve a couple massages, facial treatment for her. Lot's of steam rooms and indoor/outdoor pool. Breakfast and lunch is provided, walk around the hotel in your robes and slippers, and NO KIDS allowed in the hotel.
