I dunno man, reading your response doesn't sound like you were agreeing at all lol. It reads like you tried to Dwight K. Schrute someone and it failed.

The argument was never where they started being produced, but where they all would be produced and when.

They are all engineered in the same place.

All the various components come from same spec suppliers

Assembly processes are all the same, with very similar plants.

QC programs are all the same. (although administered by humans, so all subject to error)

So statistically speaking, it really shouldn't matter where it was assembled, relative to reliability.

You know, like it's actually a global process.

I like to imagine Toyota engineers are like B.A. Baracus, afraid to fly so they never leave their home county or area causing far reaching plants to operate autonomously and fearfully of local terrorists.

And they are hunted down for a crime they didn't commit.

Pro is only one that has been made in the US for a number of years. I know for sure the 2020 and the 2021 Pros were made in San Antonio. I have a 2020 and I checked the window sticker on a 2021. Rumor was they were going to move the Pros to Mexico as well but I have not seen that yet, maybe 2022

Any modern vehicle will go 200k without major repair. That if you keep up with the maintenance of course.

I’m expecting my taco to go at least 400k miles without major repairs.

Too be fair to the guy you quoted, of all those threads, almost half were made by people who actually own the truck.

"Japan" isn't necessarily synonymous with reliability. Subaru is no stranger to drive-train problems.

And geographic location of the assembly plant as a clue to quality of the product.

    I don’t know man.

Even my archaic ranger with 3 timing chains drove like new at 165k miles, only had to replace the starter once and the thermostat housing twice. Original clutch.

Know numerous kias, Hyundai’s, fords, Honda’s that easily went 200k.

Last I checked the USA won the war not Japan. So as long as you get one made in Texas you’ll be fine
