Official Patch and Sticker BST thread

I’ve ordered a few in the past. Slow sometimes but the patches have always arrived.

 

Which one did you order? I might have an extra one. If you don’t get any resolution on this and I have an extra, I’ll send it out to you.

 

This is the tacomaworld I know and love. I honestly don't particularly care about the patch, but with everyone on here being so great, I'm just bummed out and figured it best to share to keep this forum safe. It's honestly good to hear others have not had issue with him, and hopefully I do get a resolution.

 

Hmmm... I had a very similar experience. Ordered a couple patches from him ($15). The first "attempt" bounced back to him. He confirmed (never showed me a photo of it) my address was written on the envelope as I gave it to him (which was correct). He said he made a second "attempt" and to let him know if it didn't arrive. In fairness, I never followed up on the second attempt, because after a month and half of screwing with it, I really didn't care about the $15.

I don't know that he's "shady", but I've decided to not pursue the patches he owed me and probably won't buy from him in the future. I wasn't going to put him on blast about it, because I felt I was equally responsible for not following up, but since your story paralleled mine, I figured I'd share.

After a week of no response, I ended up ordering the patch I wanted off another member. Just saying.

Okay so my notifications are garbage and didn't see anything in this thread til just a bit ago...

Who sold what to someone and ghosted the buyer?

Because if it's happened more than once, that person needs to be remanded to the modmins for scamming or at least a public flogging.

If this ever happens to anyone, especially through this B/S/T forum, it's a serious offense here.

Pay via Goods & Services. ALWAYS UNLESS YOU REALLY SERIOUSLY TRUST THE PERSON.
Contact PayPal and have them chargeback the transaction. It can really hurt the seller if this happens and lead to funds being held, suspension of the account, etc.

So let the person know in no uncertain terms you're not okay with getting no response to questions about where your shit is. A couple days may be okay but repeatedly ignoring PMs and public tags is shady AF. If they've done it to anyone else they are hurting the community and need to be stopped.

 

To be clear I had not made a purchase. I was simply trying to purchase a patch. Initially I got a response, then nothing. After a week, he did get back to me, but it was right after I already placed the order with another member. I don’t think anything shady is going on, I just think some of us move at a slower pace than others and have very different priorities.

 

I commented about being ghosted by this dude selling tacomaworld patches. A couple members commented that they had no, or small issues with this seller. Others commented that he took the $ and the patches were never received. Hopefully he responds and resolves the issue, but if not I will report him, and contest the charge. With awesome sellers on tacomaworld like you, he is the exception.

 

That's his loss and he should lock his threads with the stuff he had been selling, then.

If he took money and nothing was shipped... That's a totally different animal.

Regardless if the person has sold tons of patches in the past, it doesn't excuse present poor selling behavior. There have been people in the patch community that had many folks stand up and vouch for only to turn around and betray trust. Not saying that's what's happening but the window to make things right is rapidly closing...

 

I dont agree at all. If he can not even respond to a message about goods he is selling, he shouldn't be selling. It is definitely shady to take someones $ and not provide the goods like another member experienced with him. Like I said, hopefully it is just a misunderstanding and he will get back to me, but seeing that he was on tacomaworld today, and didn't respond to my question makes me skeptical.
