Couple more photos with lights on, hazards and with DD fogs and light bar. What a difference!!!

 

I regret not getting the amber DRL version. I guess turning on the hazards for photos will have to do lmao

 

If you want an additional amber DRL you can get an dual function hood scoop light from spartanxcustoms on IG. I think he has a few options for white and amber dual function DRL and full bright scoop lightbars. Haven't kept up too much since I got mine years ago and he only offered one kind back then.

I think I may have received a defective driver's side light. My hi beam stays on and won't return back to the lo beam after using it. Reached out to the vendor but haven't heard back yet. Anyone else experiencing this?

 

I just installed the xbs from tacomalifestyle..start up sequence does not come on anymore. My headlight switch has drl off, auto, parking and on. It worked the first two days and now its gone. Also i leave my lights on parking when shutting off as it automatically turns off when i open the door. When starting up, drls come on even with car in park and ebrake engaged. Any help?? Thanks

 

Try taking the fuse tap and touching it to the battery directly and see if the startup sequence works this way. I called morimoto for the same reason and was told the drl circuit did not have enough power to run them and I would have to find an alternative power source. I told them for the price and claim of plug and play I was pretty disappointed but could make it work. Hope this helps you out

I have noticed the same thing which is slightly annoying but manageable for me and they are on full brightness which does look great so I will let it go. I have had an issue with my passenger side headlight. I found it to be defective while talking to support but they won't send me a replacement without getting the defective light back first or if I can't send the defective light to them first I can send them $350 they will ship a replacement and refund me the $350 when they receive the light back. I thought this was bs seeing as I spent damn good money on these to be great and had a defective light and to top it off they want more money for a replacement or I go without a headlight until they send me a replacement. Sorry to rant but wanted to let my fellow taco lovers know my experience so far with customer service.

 

was browsing this thread and I noticed that the price for these jumped from $1000ish around black friday of last year to now being anywhere from $1300-$1600 anyone know what’s that all about?

 

Anyone ever have an issue with the DRL fuse blowing out of nowhere? Ive had the gen 2’s for months and suddenly the fuse blows .. changed it and it blew immediately… haven’t changed anything since installing the lights … i did notice some moisture near the plugs but the drl plug was dry as far as i could tell

 

Probably the difference between version 1 and version 2 and more parts added.

 

Higher cost and shipping delays from China, microchip shortage, higher shipping cost in the US... Typical covid supply chain fuckery.

 

Are these headlights worth the cost. Seems like people are having issues. I Just ordered the amber version.

 

Anyone find any sales on these currently? I’m looking to order but may wait until November to see if there are Black Friday sales.
