One of my uncles was stationed at Fort Dix.
We visited a few times with him and my aunt and cousins.
I probably wouldn't recognize the countryside now...a lot of it was farmland back then.

Also, I have an old college friend who is from near Asbury Park.
Yes, that Asbury Park.
He had all the Springsteen albums, of course.
He used to tell me about camping/fishing trips in the Pine Barrens.

We've lost touch and I dunno where he is now.
We used to rag each other unmercifully about Pennsylvania versus New Jersey.

I'll stop the Jersey jokes now.

Don’t forget that New Jersey is also the birthplace of the American glass industry. There are a lot of scientific/pharmaceutical glass manufactures in Southern Jersey. Today I brought in 30,000 pounds of glass tubes that will be made into eye droppers.
