I have had my truck for a little over 2 months now and twice my quick call contacts on my display have vanished. It's not a big deal but is there a fix for this? It's already getting annoying.

Mine will usually last for a couple of start ups then disappear

Usually this happens when there's a failure between the truck and phone to pair.
    Sometimes this occurs randomly.

Next time it happens verify that the phone is actually connected to the truck via bluetooth (or cable).

Also, it'll be impossible to help more without information on what phone you are using.

I think it's happened once to me in 12k miles. But I've seen it for sure.

A Motorola Edge, but the audio never has an issue. It will start playing whatever I was listening too previous without issue. I've never had the pairing fail just the quick contacts

    Good information there.

I have seen cases where (and this doesn't make sense, but happens) there is a successful A2DP (audio streaming) connection, but the PBAP (phone book) connection fails.
I know that I see a message on a somewhat regular basis (I mean, less so since I don't leave home anymore) that is basically "failed to sync contacts", which is the PBAP connection failing.

So far I've not had a case where power cycling both the phone and the head unit didn't resolve the problem (at least that I can remember... There have been a few cases where I've rebuilt my phone and then didn't drive for long enough that I forgot I hadn't re-paired it, but that's when I rebuild my phone, when I would expect a problem).

Interesting, I will try power cycling my phone just in case. I don't get any messages talking about failed syncing or anything but that doesn't mean much.
    Thanks

That is strange. Never had that happen, but also i have never used them either. I always just use android auto and tell google who to call.

For anyone having problems with your quick call contacts disappearing off your infotainment console, the fix is very simple.
I was having this same problem over and over on my 2021 Tacoma SR5 V6 and I took it to Toyota and they couldn't figure it out.
It finally dawned on me, what if I don't ever turn the WiFi off on my phone? Since I haven't turned my wifi off on my phone my quick contacts have not disappeared since and it's been more than two months.
