They were hard to find when I bought mine. I sounded disappointed when I heard it was a manual. Access cabs in general were hard to find, I saved a little by seeming disinterested for a few days.!

 

Meh, only after the first minute, then it stops hurting.

 

You only see these when some dude passes away, and the executor of the estate puts it up for sale at $5000 to get rid of it. You need to be a neighbor to get that deal.

Almost purchased one it was in a cement gray Before COVID . It rode like shit and the price was outrageous.went with a off-road double cab never looked back .

 

Not a unicorn, really. Just a pigeon hole that peeps are in who want an MT LB with a factory tow package. Equivalent price to the DCSB OR MT, just with the extra expense of a more functional locker down the road.

Note that all MTs are 4wd. Neat little tidbit that @shakerhood noted.

You would be wrong Sir. The last Tacoma unicorn on earth is the 2014 RegularCab, 4-cyl, 2WD, shortbed, manuel transmission. This was the last year you could get a Tacoma in this configuration. If anyone reading this has one for sale, please PM me to discuss details. I pay well for finders fees......

 

I think you're probably alone with that sentiment if you're referring to the knob. I ditched my stock shift knob within days.

Another unicorn Tacoma would be a V6 Single Cab, if memory serves me it was only available in 1996 and 1997.

So after calling these yahoos in Katy all day today, "Mock-too" from Pakistan tells me they do have a 2014 but before I can ask a second question, he demands my name, email address, and date of birth before we can proceed. I tell the moron I'll do no such thing. So yes, you may have found my Unicorn but I just can't give out personal information to a used car salesman. I'll keep looking.
