Fasten Seatbelt alert!!!

I have a 2021 Taco SR5.. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the fasten seatbelt alert?? I’ve tried holding in the odometer knob.. it doesn’t seem to work…

Because I'd prefer for my truck not to make annoying noises for no valid reason.

 

Carista app on your phone and a cheap $15 Bluetooth obd2 reader and you can change a bunch of stuff

The dealership might do it for you, but they wouldn't for me. I just used the Carista app and a bluetooth ODB2 adapter to do it on mine.

 

I put my seatbelt on. Its almost always turned that light and buzzer off

 

Yes, I'm going to put my seatbelt on at the boat ramp to back the boat into the water. There are numerous occasions where one may find himself moving the truck around where it's perfectly fine to go sans seatbelt.

 

This is in the carista app. Someone local to you might have it and be able to do it for you in 5 min.

I dont recall hearing mine when I'm moving about the ramp. Maybe 3rd gens trigger at a lower speed? Or ive just learned to tune it out. I remember my seatbelt dinger will eventually time out at lower speeds.

 

Dealer did mine. They initially refused due to it being against the law or some other similar BS claim so I called corporate and opened a case. Presented the case # to the service manager and they did it

 

yeah the dealer did mine as well they said it was a safety violation and i grabbed the service director and told him i’d open a case since i’ve had it done on every other toyota i’ve owned
