The condensor is some no name contractor special that when I was getting replacement pricing every guy was like i've never seen this brand. The air handler is a name brand, it escapes me though. But there's some constraint for the air handler because our house is a pre-fab and the truss spacing in the attic differs from a standard stick built house.

I want to get together a whole crowd of people with northern New England plates and do a huge parade ride thru some random NJ/NY burb-o-plexes and clog them all up real good for a while, so they can get a taste of a fat crowd of out-of-towners not knowing how the roads work. We can call outselves a Counter-Tourism Operation.

Well... the mod bug hit hard with the new mountain bike... here's the list so far: PNW Loam grips, set the tires up tubeless (which required the rim tape, new valve stems, sealer, plastic tire irons and a chain tool), quick release front through axle since the bike transport requires the front tire coming off, Rocky Mounts fork mount since the old ones don`t work with the new bike, fancy mud guard, Five Ten riding shoes, riding shorts with padding and all the proper cleaners and lubes to keep up with maintenance.

When you get the urge to come up and ride Kingdom Trails in VT, hit me up. I'm always down for a ride.

Edit: and for places to go riding down there, check out NEMBA and see if you can find some guided/group rides in your area.

Absolutely! Hitting local trails with @guitarjamman now and wherever we go camping. We might be able to arrange a trip for a ride though. If/when we get something brewing, I’ll give you a shout and likewise for you if you head down this way.

I'm not sure where you live in MA, but if you're near Milford to Marlboro area, there's a guy who you should get together with, knows all the best places to ride. Let me know if you're interested and I can introduce you.

We call that Pawtucket. We don’t go there.

    That’s a cool place though.

:spy: I was supposed to go up there a lot more this summer. I might try to get a few weekends in this fall.

I actually just had a full install done on my house with a Mitsubishi Hyperheat system. The main house unit is a 30,000 BTU air handler in the attic and then a 6,000 BTU split in my family room. The air handler pumps into the ceiling of the upstairs rooms and I have 4 vents on the first floor from the handler. The family room has a dedicate unit which also helps the kitchen. I typically have it set to 74° on both zones and on days it gets up into the mid-80s it will handle the temperature just fine. When we get into the mid-90s the house will heat up to about 78°-ish at the end of the day when solar gain is at it's peak. I don't love that it doesn't fully keep up and there's a 4° or so spread, but that being said, the house is never warm either. I find if I play with the fan speed I can keep it closer to the set point. Part of me is upset it won't go down to like 60 degrees if I ask it to, but that's just the nature of the system. What's interesting is that it has the heating component too, which is integrated into my oil stove which should hopefully cut down on my oil bill. There's a threshold point where the efficiency of the electric unit drops out and the oil kicks on. I also still have my wood stove if I want to get the first floor ultra toasty, but with the kids now having a 400° degree device is terrifying.

My spring/summer of house projects is finally coming to an end and I can finally start putting my house back to normal. We just finished up the tile job and I'm super pleased how it came out. We have to move all the appliances out so I had claustrophobia since every inch of my house had stuff in it. Tonight was the first night I ate at a table in two weeks, I think. We ended up doing AC, countertops, kitchen sink/faucet, tile backsplash, tile floor, tile wall behind the stove, and a new staircase/railing effectively a ripout and rebuild). All that is left is to have the family room painted and get an area rug. All good work done. This will be the first time I've hired anyone to paint inside, but I have some really tall ceilings and awkward places to get to I'd have to rent scaffolding to get to, so I'm throwing money at the problem.

There's that Vietnam park area that's right by the Lowes off 495 in milford. I know that's pretty popular in the area.

I just do the window units..central would be costly plus I don't have ducts upstairs, kinda pointless.

Yikes. I relate, that was my life in 2015 though at least we are used to not eating at the table and don't have kiddos to think of

it is quite fun. There’s some stuff further south behind the Swansea library too, that’s my go to when I want something close by that isn’t my usual flatlander BS.

Soooooo.....I woke up at 1am this morning, woke up my kids (2 girls, 13 and 7 and they went to bed early knowing that I would be waking them up), and drove out to East Brimfield Reservoir to watch the Perseid Meteor shower. There is a bridge on the north side of the Reservoir that is completely void of any lights, houses, or chances of a car coming down it. We were able to get a 360° view of the sky in pitch darkness away from city lights. We did have intermittent clouds but it wasn't too bad. I brought my 800mm telescope and my phone camera (Samsung Note 10) with tripod. We got to see Jupiter's colors, Saturn's rings, and out of the 263 pictures I took, this was the only one I was able to catch. We saw over 100+ of them, but we were not fortunate enough to catch more than one on Camera (not bad for a cell phone camera, but I will admit this Samsung Note 10 has an amazing camera). I tried 2 different camera settings......a 2 second shutter speed - F1.5 and an ISO of 1600 and the other setting was a 4 second shutter speed -F2.3 and an ISO of 3200. This one was caught on the first setting. The big ball of light right to the left of it is Jupiter.

I bet those kids will remember (and appreciate) that for the rest of their lives. I still remember my dad rousting us kids for the Hale-Bopp comet.
