Saw Max pitch against the Astrisks last night. Sold out crowd and they were absolutely ruthless! Was really hoping to see Joe Kelly earhole someone when he faced Altuve, Brantley and Correa in the 8th with a 6 run lead although it wasn't to be. Two teams with *'s attached to their titles facing each other. It was historic.

Cool comeback win, reminded me of the National’s game but without the extra 8 innings. Too bad there’s no more games to make up on the Dodgers but still one game behind the Padres in games played. Kershaw still cooling his heels so their threat of catching us just traded one ace for another. Going for another series win tomorrow, GO GIANTS!

Belt is back, and he’s got company. It’s going to be on the offense to weather some tired pitching.

Had to go a ways back since a month gone by and still in first place.
Yup, they were, but getting smaller in the rear view mirror.
    Since then:
    Red Sox 15 - 6
    Giants 15 - 10
    Padres 7 - 5
    Brewers 14 - 14
    Astros 4 - 9

A bit less so lately. Still, all are good teams nonetheless.

I wonder what the consequences will be from all of these high stress games. It could temper them and prepare them for the post season or it could wear them out. With such steady guys like Crawford, Belt, Posey, and now Bryant that have been there and succeeded it’s tempting to jump to the preferable conclusion but as good as things are going there’s still a long way yet to go. I do really appreciate confidence of the offense, that’s been glaringly missing these past several years.

I've been busy dying last few weeks... so I stepped away from baseball for a minute. When I left... TB was 3gb of Boston but leading WC. Now... they are 5 games up... and best in AL. I think imma step away more often.

And Field of Dreams game... first I've heard of that.... thoughts?!

Braves ended the game against Cincinnati tonight with a walk off homer by Albies in the 11th. Braves on a roll the last few weeks!
