This is a 1968 Chevy C/10, and from a distance I thought it was a Cummins swap (Which wouldn't be uncommon; There were at least three Cummins-swapped 1967-1972 Chevy trucks at the Truck Nationals this year). Turns out it's actually a turbo 2JZ from a 1990s Supra!

Nicely done! I was gonna do a 1UZ in mine. But it was proving impossible to find one that hadn't done over a quarter million miles.

It is worth mentioning here that about 15 years ago, I came up with a similar idea that utilized a 2000-2006 Tundra regular cab, and I made a fairly detailed drawing of this truck on Microsoft Paint; The truck was called Kamikaze and though it was just the generic yellow in Paint, the real thing would have been finished in Porsche Speed Yellow. If it were actually built, the truck would have been titled as a Tundra, though only the cab, a few heavily modified body panels, and parts of the frame would remain; The engine would obviously be a 2JZ mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, with all the mechanical guts of wrecked donor 1996-1998 Supra (for the purpose of getting an OBDII system). The truck would have a usable bed, but it would be reduced in size and capacity, and with a 2JZ under the hood I'm guessing the completed vehicle would be damn near useless for towing. The dashboard would come from a 1993-1998 Supra and be modified to fit the cab of the Tundra; I drew the dashboard on Paint and the interior color would have been a golden beige color. The truck would feature A/C, cruise control, tilt steering, and power everything, as well as a killer stereo system.

Unfortunately, I lost the thumb drive with these files on it back in like 2009, but I still remember the truck vividly!

Has 8 lug wheels, I think this is a c20, rare they get lowered cause it's more of a pain, but he's done bags so anything is possible.

 

But it's a short bed...

 

The kit to shorten the frame is super common nowadays and doable in a weekend. Then you just toss a shortbed on top. They even sell you shorter trailing arms (truck arms in Chevy lingo)
