Cocaine every 20 minutes, sounds about right lol.

seriously though, that guy was a train wreck. Brilliant writer but a tortured man. Not really surprising he went out how he did but sad all the same.

Yeah, he was deep into it, that's for sure.

It seems to happen, we celebrate someones brilliance and ignore the negativity behind it. And people like Robin Williams make me wonder if they felt pressured to keep up the illusion and not express their pain

yeah romanticizing self-destruction is definitely a thing in our society, especially easy to do with rock stars and celebrities when we don't see their dark moments. Then the inevitable one day happens and everyone acts surprised and upset, but in reality the writing was there on the wall the entire time. Hell, half the time they are writing/singing about it right to our faces.

Robin Williams was definitely a shocker though, but I think with him there was a rare disease he had that was starting to take over his body/mind. Lew Body Dementia or something like that. Tragic indeed.

Yeah, it's almost like it becomes detached and is treated as like "oh they don't really mean it" or "its based on a past phase in their life" when they're talking about/singing the dark stuff.

talk about self destruction, I'm sure you're aware of Wes from Puddle of Mudd losing his shit. I didn't even think they were still together but I talked to my buddy last night who said he say them play at Sturgis last weekend.
