KTJO automatic tailgate opener unit

I have the lock/unlock from ktjo but today it doesn’t work now just makes a buzzing noise. Does this mean I need to replace the actuator? And will it be the blue one or a different 1?

 

I think you may be fighting a losing battle trying to get it replaced under “warranty”. You would be better off buying a replacement from Amazon or EBay. The black ones are under $10 each and the Heavy Duty blue one (524N) is $19 on Amazon. For the “pop-n-lock” actuator, the black one is sufficient. For the automatic tailgate opener that opens the tailgate, you need the Heavy Duty one.


Edit: sorry, forgot to answer your question but yes, it is probably your actuator going bad or the hardware got lose after continued use and needs to be re-tightened down.
