    Hi, all.

As my title says, my passenger side door lock is broken. I can manually unlock it by flipping the lock from inside, but my fob won't unlock it, and my key won't turn from outside.

Before I take my door apart, are there any recommendations on where to start?

While I have no experience with the door lock hardware personally.
I have seen enough to know the most important part is to test the door latch before you close the door with the panel on.

If you close the door with the panel on, and the latch isn’t hooked up properly. You’re going to have a door stuck closed. And it’s is NOT easy to get it back open.

So I just did the pencil trick and got the cylinder to rotate, but the key fob still only unlocks the driver's door.

Apparently locks are supposed to be lubricated with a graphite spray. If you don't have that, you can basically rub a pencil across the ridges of the key and they you just start running it in and out of the keyhole. It worked to get the cylinder to rotate, but I'll need to get some real graphite spray for best performance.

I thought that was what you meant, but wanted to be sure. Thanks for the feedback!
