Uh... No. That's never happened in my truck. Are you sure your truck isn't haunted? Perhaps by a very tall ghost?

Naw it's like the thing won't go down far enough to 'lock'... that is if it is supposed to lock.

I don't believe they lock on the lowest setting. I don't currently have my truck, or I'd check. So your head is probably "pushing" it upwards, into the first locking position.

I thought you were saying it was raising up on it's own. Push it down as you leave the truck and the next time you returned, it would be raised up.

Mine “creep” up. But I don’t think it’s very spirited, just my flailing self. I somehow bump into them and they push up and I don’t notice until later. I agree I wish they would “click” down

Yep. Ghosts in them Tacomas. Have to admit though it is not Tacoma specific. My previous Silverado did the same thing. Maybe we just act like we are taller than we really are and the car is adjusting for it!!!!

I think it doesn’t happen as much when I use rear camera when backing up.

YES! Both sides. pretty significantly too. Maybe I'll duct tape it down. or crazy glue may be cleaner.
