My buddy sent me this today because he knew my brake started leaking recently and that I'm way out of warranty on my 2017.
I want to believe it, but it's hard because Facebook is such a dumpster fire of misinformation from all sides....
    Can anyone confirm this?IMG_20210812_200541.jpg

    *Edit:
Here is the actual information from Toyota.
Vehicle does not need to still be under warranty to receive this. Notice it says only certain 2016 to 2019 model year double cabs.

I just booked my fuel pump recall and they asked if I wanted to book a new "water leak" recall at the same time. I assumed it was a coolant leak.

Nothing on the NHTSA website, may be a TSB if it’s real.

Hell yes!!! I was getting ready to order the new parts last night and not looking forward to spending a Saturday afternoon pulling down my headliner. This is great news.

I didn't see it there either but was holding out some hope since the brake light fails on people due to corrosion of the harness and was hoping it might be true since it's causing "safety" related features to fail.

If they said "recall" to @cspcrx that leads me to believe it's not just a tsb.

Agree but recalls usually appear on NHTSA.

Looks like they are going to have to replace my headliner as well because it has water damage.

Was really thinking it would just be a TSB which would be worthless since I'm out of warranty.

I’m a bit surprised TBH…. But glad they are doing the right thing. Confirmed; aug 16 build of my 2017 is on the list for the recall!

This would be a Special Service Campaign, not a Safety Recall - they use the term "Campaign" in the text. I wonder what years are covered - I logged in to My Toyota and there are no active Campaigns or Recalls for my truck.

NHTSA says my ‘19 is not included. Have to wonder though if this roll out isn’t like the fuel pump recall. Once they are caught up more may be included. No leaks on mine, I keep a pretty good eye on it though.

Damn, I thought 19s were GTG, I'll have to check mine later, Toyota site is up, but the log in portion is down.

I just logged in a few minutes ago. Checked my VIN through NHTSA and Toyota and get no recalls or campaigns listed for my VIN (a Jan 2020 build).

I just checked and my 17 has 2 open recalls the fuel pump and the brake light water leak . Took em awhile

Scheduled to have both done 8-26-21 . I asked if anyone is not doing the fuel pump recall and all he said was he hasn't seen anyone have any trouble with one but maybe down the road . I was thinking about not doing it but they are a good service dept so I decided yes get it over with .

Just ran the VIN on my 19 double cab and the campaign popped up. Scheduling a service appointment as we speak!
