Are you using the Bilsteins adjusted on the highest setting or with new springs and the shocks on lowest setting? I'm trying to decide what I want to put on my '98.

How do your CV boots/angles look at ride height after you installed the lift? In the first photo it looks like its sitting pretty high, might just be the stock size tires though.

If the CV boot fins are touching at ride height, they will rub apart in no time. Been there done that, got a bunch of torn CVs in my storage to prove it

Yes it’s bc if the stock 15” wheels/tires. I plan on installing 17”.
At full droop the spring was rubbing the spindle/upper ball joint.
My CV boots are already torn so I’ll have to replace them.
Which CV boots did you go with to stop them from tearing?

My first set up was 3” Eibach coils on the lowest setting of the 5100’s. I tried the middle setting. It was way too much. You want the spring to create all the lift anyways.
Depending on what size coils you have. The 5100’s might need to be dropped down.
    Good luck

I just recommend OEM boots, no matter which boots you go with they will tear if they rub. If they aren't rubbing then they shouldn't tear, at least not until age/mileage does them in or something jumps up and bites them on the road.

100% as I use Krown on my truck and I have the same thing if you don’t wipe off the oil spray. Mine was built up on the lower door sill below the interior door panels. It is much better than rust! :canada:

Got my CB installed today fit perfectly in the ashtray spot, just need to get an antenna! Any recommendations on which type and where to mount it?

I'll be watching the AC bearing job with a lot of interest. I think mine is going south as well, but haven't even had the time to assess it properly. :anonymous:

Finally changed out my dome lights for LED. Should’ve done it years ago.

The SuperBrightLED lights look like the have internal logic built into them. There’s capacitors and diodes built into them from what I saw.

For those of you with the Cadillac alternator did you have the belt flush with the front of the pulley or the back of the pulley? Getting conflicting info via Google and I can't remember what I did first
