Three wheels and a missing muffler bearing...Just saying that if the assembly line is getting top-down pressure to get the 2021s out, they might rush and screw things up...I'm not being serious.

I ordered a trd sport in voodoo blue with an access cab and manuel transmission on May 17th. Was recently told it didn't get allocated for 2021 and voodoo blue is no longer available. So far Toyota has been completely against showing images of the 2022 colors. Starting to think I'll never see it.

Typically dealers have no choice but to honor the employee VSSP pricing. However earlier this year Toyota North America sent a memo to dealers informing them that because of the severe supply restraints, they could choose not to honor the Vehicle Special Service Purchase program. A few weeks before my vehicle, that had been allocated, was scheduled to arrive, the dealership Inventory Manager told me they would not honor our agreed to VSSP deal. The dealership General Manager stepped in and said "yes, they would honor the deal". Kudos to the GM for stepping up and doing the right thing even though he could have sold that vehicle for a heck of a lot more. Because of the GM I was able to take delivery for the agreed upon VSSP pricing. I will always use this dealership in the future because of the GMs willingness to do the right thing and the great experience I had with my salesman.

I ordered mine from that dealership in March and it fell through. I got converted to a 2022 with no guidance on when.. Kinda a bummer

So what I am gathering is it’s highly unlikely that the 2022 will actually be on the road towards end of September? Or am I misinterpreting this?

Look at it this way by waiting until the end of the year for your truck they perfected building the 2021s

Some of us hope that they are, but right now I’d say it’s a long shot. I’m not holding my breath of late October for mine, but when I placed the order in June my salesperson really pushed the fact that it might be 6 months away.

Just a reminder...it’s not just dudes buying trucks! Not a fem Nazi, but if one more man asks me if my husband is around so they can talk to him about my truck they’re getting throat punched. Literally happens once a week lol.

Anywho, it’s highly unlikely you need to worry about this. Toyota has quite literally changed the way the world runs manufacturing lines, and your concern goes against one of the core beliefs that has made them so successful. There are a ton of videos about TPS (their production system), Kaizen (tenets), and much more. I always find this channel entertaining. Check it out if you’re interested.

Lololol. Depends on what I’m doin! Daily is CRKT ignitor, take my MT neck knife backpacking, and sketch areas my karambit since it looks threatening as hell.

I've learned not to go by auto trader pics but that's the ad and is very common out this way. Slightly used OR's was my focus and it was very usual to see dealers asking over new MSRP for them. Heck! There was a guy a few hours north of me selling a PRO just like the one I'm getting in Lunar Rock listing his at $80k!! Seen others at $65k. (CAD dollars here folks)

Crazy - I'm out in BC and 3 year old Tacoma's are the same price as a new one! Lucky for me my local dealer is not into the over inflated MSRP pricing.

I hear you! In my defense, dude is gender neutral in my book (though, I'll respectfully refrain, if asked). I guess my other defense is that my wife has a 2008 tacoma OR and I have a 2008 FJ. So it seems she wears the pants in this relationship.

Close and only to clarify. I paid $56830 (CAD MSRP) for my Pro which is about $45400 USD. No idea what the actual MSRP in the states is but a tad curious now. Don't factor in our 13% sales tax, you'll sh#t your drawers. :0
