THEFT PREVENTION CATALYTIC CONVERTER

I manage a shop. Over the last few months, we've had several come in with cats missing. We don't do that kind of work (that requires welding) so always have to refer them elsewhere. Both fleet and personal vehicles coming in wondering what the loud noise is. I've seen Priuses and Tacos along with several Chevy and Ford full size vans, Ford Transits and Ram Promasters. It seems they are taking them off almost every kind of vehicle, especially fleets that just sit outside overnight. Doesn't matter where you live or how nice the neighborhood is.

 

So, true bro. We lost 36 in one night at one City of Houston lot and 21 just the other night at our largest maintenance facility.
I'm an internal investigator for the city and have reviewed footage and they average 3 minutes per cat.

 

All over, bud. Our City of Houston lots are all over inside the city limits and they've hit them all. A co-worker had his stolen off his Tundra at the Eastex Park and Ride at 59 & Beltway 8.
We got off the bus one evening and he cranked his Tundra and it sounded like an old M60 Main Battle Tank. Another was at James Avery at Beltway 8 and West Lake Houston and came
out and a turd was under his cutting. Broad daylight.

 

Over here in Jersey Village off bw8 and 290, just got mine stolen overnight while parked in my apt. They didn't touch the dodges or ford's I was parked by, just my poor little Tacoma. Going to start parking it down the street now in public storage until a garage becomes available.

Anyone have any good locks they would recommend to try and keep it a little bit safer?

This shit is getting ridiculous. I went to rent a uhaul for our company. On the day of pick up, we turn it on and loud noise from the exhaust. Cat was stolen.

I am definitely getting a cat shield.

 

Just placed my order a few hours ago!

 

It is already in the box! Will be picked up tomorrow!

 

I also ordered one today also. The bolts were out of stock so I’ll wait till I get those before installing it.

 

I will have more bolts here Tuesday.

would you like me to hold your plate back until we get more bolts in stock so we can ship them together?

crooks will grind them off

salvage yards will ignore the numbers or discount $$$
