    dam, from 12:00 midnight until around 1:30 am, we had a hell of a thunderstorm blow through Rowan County N.C.
    Freaking lightning was non stop with serious thunder shaking the house. I saw several ground strikes in the distance.
    I hate bad storms during the night. Was very thankful that the power didn't go out.

    I was on a flight recently where the pilot had to stay on the edge of a supercell en route to our destination. Three fucking hours of sustained turbulence.
