Can't get the fuel pump lid ring off with a strap wrench. Anyone have a tool to unscrew it?

They’re tight… I use air hammer with a dull chisel bit on the plastic lid to break it loose….

Factory special tool is usually metal not rubber

    It has to be
There is usually a seal that it has to be tight on to avoid leaking vapor

Punch or dull chisel and a hammer would be next on my list.

Flathead and a hammer did the trick. Thanks for the suggestions!

I made a strap wrench much like the one you bought and have in the original picture, just made out of a 3' 2x4 an old timing belt and two lag bolts, worked like a charm and was free still have it hanging in rhe garage.

You could try using an old serpentine belt but it may not have as much grip, still probably enough though, or get a cheater pipe for you little wrench but it may break it.
