Little private spot I can go to whenever I want as long as I keep the trail to it cleared and the spot mowed with my tractor a couple times a year. In the timber along a nice creek close to home...doesn’t get much more convenient.

Hell yeah, got a similar spot out at a friend's farm in Indiana. Nice to spend a quick weekend in the alucab. Nothing fancy, just nice to get out of the city.

Has anyone with a Canopy Camper ran the water tap out the rear bulkhead like many do? How are you securing the actual tap to the bulkhead panel? Any pictures or info on these installations is appreciated? Thx!

Yes I did. Doesn’t the tap come with a hose barb coupling for the inside of the tap?
Assuming you’re talking about the one that comes with the Alucab water tank.

Remove the panel, drill your hole, apply thread tape and screw it together tight.

Thanks Zayne. I didn't go w/the AC tank actually, but the tap is virtually identical and I have the female hose barb fitting as well, but even if I torque those together I don't think it will get tight enough to sandwich nice and snug on that panel, which is what I was concerned about. In the picture below, I realize there is more threads to go, but that is a tight as I can get it by hand. I am just always worried about overtightening shit and breaking it (b/c I do that way too much! ha) but maybe with pipe thread like this it's alright.

Got ya! The one that comes with the AC kit has deeper threads on the barbed coupler. You can kind of see it in the pic I posted above.
You might have to stack a plate with a whole in it on the inside or find a different barb I’m assuming.

No epic camping spot tonight but hit my first car show. Alu-cab should give out free gear for doing these we had so many people around us more than the classic cars. Surprisingly had a lot of fun and talked to so many people. Handed out several business cards for the dealer we went through.

Got my canopy installed this past week. Very happy with the construction compared to my last fiberglass shell, latches and doors seem much higher quality. Only thing I’ve done is mount my axe and shovel with homemade mounts.

Just wrapped up V1 cabinets for the inside of my ACCC. Keeping it clean and simple for now. 20210818_171811.jpg 20210818_195449.jpg

Mounted up a solar shower today. Maybe the last item and I’m done with my build??? I don’t know feel like I’m pretty set and satisfied at this point. Shower is all aluminum and is 4.5 gallons of water and 1 gallon of air to pressurize it. Company is Offroad Solar Shower. Not the cheapest option but I believe it will last. I am going to work with it this weekend then have a trip planned in a couple weeks so will know more of how it works out by then.

I haven't seen as many folks go with one of those RVM Cams, but it's certainly any option. Most are just trying to retain their back up cam and use one of the kits from https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/ or the Rostra kits (http://www.rostra.com/keep-camera-system-when-removing-truck-tailgate.php). I personally have installed the Rostra kit on mine and it was very easy. Though it is just a back up cam as I said. I guess I got used to having a cap on my truck for so many years that losing the RVM hasn't been an issue for me, but having something for backing up becomes pretty important.

There are definitely a lot of people using those tankless water heaters and it's in my plans for sure now that I got water tank installed. I know that Joolca set up is pretty popular and there are several others as well. I have seen folks mount them in a Pelican cases to one of the rear Molle panels and also several different set ups that have them mounted inside as well to the accessory rails or right inside one of the side doors. I am undecided on where to mount it at the moment. I chat with a guy here in CO on IG that has fabricated a solution/bracket for mounting inside. If I can remember who it is I will let you know.

Happy Ordering! You will not be disappointed.
