They're going to have to create a new category of domestic terrorist to go after him - hoarding government aviation parts with suspected intent to build a custom stealth aircraft

I was backing into a parking spot today and got a fun, loud/violent new clunk from somewhere. Lately it induces thoughts of just selling the damn thing lol.

Exactly. "Ha, maybe I'll just sell it. JK."

Then you're going to test drive stuff.

I've been going the opposite direction. I've owned trucks (and vans) my whole life, so I think I'm going car. That said if I were going to replace it with another 4WD I'd get a 4Runner. (Or GX)

As much as I'd love a fun coupe, I couldn't give up the ability to hit the trails and go camping... I'll always need a 4x4 truck or SUV in the mix

If you get the DC make sure you get the long bed. That 1 extra foot is a game changer. They are so much more comfortable than the 1st gen but not as fun to drive.

This is exactly how I feel about my frontier as well. 6' bed is great.

DC...ehhhhhh. All my friends are too tall.

If I still lived out west it'd be a no-brainer. But the last few years everything off pavement for me is just sand and honestly I can live without that for a while. And I can borrow a truck for my lumberyard runs. My road trips are pavement nowadays and my daily commute is kind of a bummer in my truck. Ideally I'd have a truck and a car, and one day I will, but for now I feel like I'm convincing myself of reasons to keep my truck and keep modding/fixing shit. Plus it's got some sentimental value which, like it or not, has been a factor.
Meanwhile I've been looking at four door MK7s.
(And I love old vehicles, and would like something late 60s-80s, but as a DD I just can't do it, rationally)

We went with the double cab because we plan on having kids. I have had my 97 25 years I plan on keeping the 2014 just as long and will need that space.

I dunno I'd stick with a short bed, I don't haul much of anything except camping gear and the shorter wheelbase is better for a lot of the more fun trails out here

Thats part of the reason I ended up in a frontier. DC, 6' bed, 6 speed manual. No regrets.

My dad has the exact truck @eon_blue probably wants. 2008 DC 6 speed with the e-locker. He rarely ever uses the bed so it fits his needs well. Also if youre gonna throw a roof tent on all the time it doesnt matter anyways.
