Found a pretty nice lookin wheel for the price. 17x8.5 O offset for $160. It the American Outlaw Derringer. Thinkin bout these to replace my stock TRD Sports. Already have 2” front and 1.5 leaf rear. Currently running 265 Wildpeaks. Will switch once they wear out. Thoughts on these?

The only caveat is that I’ve only had the truck for a week, so haven’t pushed it.

2inches in the front, 1 1/2inches in the rear. Front sits 1/4 higher in the front with the weight I carry in the back. Tires are definitely heavy and the truck feels it but I love how they feel and look on this rig! Planning on getting it regeared at some point in the near future. Overall I love it!

I went with the same size tire and I love how they look but I can tell a big difference too. Luckily mine is a 6speed so I can control when I shift.

Has anyone run the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in this size?
They are E Rated 10-ply and weigh 54 lbs.
You don't hear much about these because most people are going with the 49 lb. SL rated 285s

I am running Wildpeaks on 2020 4Runner Snowflakes and they rub a little at full lock in certain situations. Speed is definitely a factor in causing the rub. Stock, no lift. The rub is very minor, just the plastic inner fender in one spot on both sides. I have a 1 1/2” spacer I could install but I see no need for it.

Guys I need your help, I know this has been covered but what PSI are you running in your KO2- 275 70 17 on TRD wheels ?

No load or weight in the truck, lifted on Eibach Stage 1, 2" front 1" rear.

I had 39 PSI all around, lift shop brought them down to 29PSI....told me I had the over inflated and now I'm second guessing my PSI...

Think E is the load rating.

I have only seen pressure charts that go down to 40 or so. E load rated sidewalls are thick and typically have more plies than lower load rated tires. This can generate excessive heat if they are not supported by enough air pressure. How low the minimum is will depend on vehicle weight (obviously), speed and probably vary from tire to tire. You could contact BFG and ask them for some info.

Chalk test. Too easy not to test and gets them damn near perfect. I run my fronts a few lbs more than the rears because of the weight difference

I don't have much to compare it to,
I don't really have anything to compare it to, as they are the only tires I've run on the truck. I find the ride quieter than I would have expected though.

Chalk test results for me were 38 F and 35 R for the K02 E-loads.

Hoping for some recommendations/verification. I've got a 2020 TRD Sport. I am planning for a 2-2.5" lift (Bilstein 6112/5160, Delta UCAs and an RXT leaf pack) and am worried that my current tires will look a bit small (Nitto Terra Grapplers on Sema 17 x 7 TRD Pro wheels - stock setup from a 4Runner from the dealership when I bought the truck). I want to go bigger without having to mod the cab mount or do any trimming and the lift shop has suggested a 275/70/17 will fit without rubbing.

I don't take the truck off road, short of some dirt roads for MTB trips, but nothing serious. The truck is my daily driver - local and hwy. I actually like the look of the Nitto Terras, but would be happy with something a bit more aggressive looking without sacrificing too much of the ride quality (assuming I can preserve this with in light of the suspension change).

It seems that Nitto doesn't make the Grappler Ridge or Terra in a 275/70/17, nor does Toyo for the Open Country ATIII so the current list includes the typical offenders - BFG KO2 or Falken Wildpeaks. Any other options for me or am I left to choose between the 2? Any thoughts/recommendations/examples of a similar lift/wheel/tire setup would be great.
