Do you think you can break a clockspring by turning the wheel lock to lock like I did when I flushed my steering. I got the airbag light a couple days later however my horn which is my only device on my wheel works. I tested the horn a different positions of the wheel and it seem a fine. I need to pull the codes unfortunately I don't think anyone does airbag codes because of liability so I'll have to use the wire method to pull codes. Tia

Yes, if it was close to already breaking, the rapid turning back and forth likely finished it off.

Make sure to scan it first regardless, it should be B1801 I believe.

I notice you have the same year and model as I do.
I had a recall for my cable.
Maybe check and see if your truck has had it or qualified for it?

The trucks that qualify should be under section #6

Thanks guys. Years ago they replaced my clockspring for free. If I'd had known.it was possible to break clockspring doing flush I never would have done it. It did go very smooth but I had no problem with my steering. Every time I try to do preventive maintenance I sometimes create another problem and.its usually more costly. Like they say if it ain't broke leave it alone when will I ever learn. Lol

If you broke it the light should have come on right away not days later. May just be a coincidence. You may just need the light reset. something else may have set it off.

Don't beat yourself up I consider it a wear item and I think most people steer against the stops periodically myself included. Its just a ribbon tape like computers use that bends back and forth as you steer.

If it broke, it was going to break anyways.
I go full lock quite often going in and out of parking spots.

I wasn’t your fault. It’s just one of those things that can happen.

Don’t get discouraged, you can still do your own work.
We all experience things like this:thumbsup:
