The newer surge brakes have electronic reverse lockout solenoids that pick up the reverse light voltage from the 7 pin. You can retrofit them to older trailers too. I’ve got both and don’t particularly mind either, I would like to try and electric over hydro brake setup though.

Nice trailer! Somebody dropped some money. Having an aluminum trailer would be the way to go.

A couple of the areas I cleared at my farm so far, the past rains in July really have help with the native grasses, still have lots of tractoring to do in this area.

Pallet forks came in handy moving feeders.

I was really hoping for some rain, a few storms moved through the area.

Anybody with a Kubota ever have an issue with the hour meter being off? I swear there is no way I only spent 2 hours on the tractor today

I’m more concerned if the hour meter is off. It says it only has 3 hours total on the machine but that doesn’t seem right at all

    Reserected from the dead.
Spent some time building the Gcode and cutting out my clam bucket jaws.

Made the brackets for the quick attach as well.

Still need to cut out the upper jaw.

Not sure if my labels of the parts are correct, so don't hate on my for being unclear.

Of course still need to weld things together.

Striping my 3205 hood with vehicle wrap vinyl. This was not easy. The bottom has a gradual .5" curve downward and making an arc at the top curve in a smooth arc is hard. Impossible with straight edges.

I clamped a piece of PVC pipe across the decal material on my workbench and curved it down .5", clamped the other end and ran a razor blade along the edge for the bottom.

I then clamped it 2" up on the decal and curved it to the opposite bottom edge for the top. It ain't perfect but it ain't bad.

It happens to me all the time, jump on the Kubota to do a couple things in the morning, next thing I know it's getting dark outside.

I used to feel that way…especially with rust until a buddy had two aluminum trailers that have had issues with stake pockets breaking off, cracks in the deck and main rails. One was a Triton that was such a problem that the dealer let him buy a new trailer at cost…bought an Alumina and still has had some issues with it even though it’s a much nicer trailer than the Triton (which is far from a bargain brand). What sucks is that you can’t weld new stuff on or repair it without a spool gun or a tig machine.

For a light duty trailer like this, probably a good bet in a place that has rusting issues.

At my work, we broke at least three enclosed aluminum framed trailers. For HD hauling….agree with going steel framed.

Thats a good point on the light duty stuff! I forget that not everyone is toting around 5k+ lbs on the trailer all the time.

I questioned going diesel dually until I realized I’m 9 months into owning the new truck and I’m at 11k miles total, and 7k of those were hooked up to the gooseneck. About to knock down another 1300 miles this weekend pulling down to Windrock. Definitely justifies having all the compromises that go with the DRW diesel.

It’s the opposite for me. It seems like I’m on the tractor for longer than what the hour meter says. I’m gonna have to start a timer on my phone later today when I continue what I started yesterday

Received 2 new spindles, blades, belt and idler pulleys last night. Cleaned it up and rebuilt the deck… was cracked on the one lifting point…. Hope it cuts better for the customer

Parts availability is a big issue right now for Kubota, I have been waiting since June on some parts.

With it being that new, It will be covered by warranty, take it in, have it diagnosed, if they don't have the parts, let them ordered and take the machine back home until part(s) comes in.

There are people who’ve been waiting on tractors and attachments for over 6 months. That’s all the sales people would talk about when I went to buy the tractor. They say they’ve been trying to trade parts for parts with other dealers but nobody wants to let anything go even if it’s been sitting in their parts room/show room for months with no buyers
