I purchased a 1972 Olds Cutlass from my cousin for $500.00 on the condition I eventually sold it back to him for the cost I had in repairing it. It had no rust (AZ) and fresh rebuilt engine and paint. I didn't think it could be major issues because the engine had maybe 10k miles. The problem was a broken rocker saddle. Few dollars at bone yard. But while I had it swapped camshaft, lifters and better headers.

Good weekend so far other than getting into 4 yellow jacket nest yesterday. Thank God I only got stung once on the cheek.

See if you can find some “seven dust”. It’s a powder and works good.

Glad to hear it was only a single sting, I was allergic to them as a kid and grew out of it I guess. Nice lake, where is that at? Love the smooth water, looks relaxing! Glad to have you back as well!

I acquired a pre-1964 Model 100 Winchester in .308 that apparently is fairly sought after. I plan on hunting with it this fall so today is getting it zero'd day.

Were there any other issues noted? Honestly, I feel that would have been $320 worth of insurance; I assume that's an interference engine? Valve train issues can get expensive quickly.

When I say acquired, I mean it was given to my dad by an old timer headed for a nursing home. He said I hope this old thing can still provide for somebodys family. The stock was cracked, hadn't been been cycled in 20 years but this fall she's going to be doing some killing.
