What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I need to do that like yesterday

 

When you almost need a truck to bring tires & wheels to the tire shop

 

Yesterday was spark plugs and air filter and today is adding the 3rd leaf back on my Dakars. I figured I'd clean them up a bit first. Too hot out here for this but at least the paint dries quick.







I also installed the transmission and transfer case skids after tripping over them in the garage for a couple months.

 

SDHQ battery terminal covers.

 

Mine showed up yesterday after ordering on Tuesday. And I'm on the east coast. Was quite surprised.

 

New wheels and tires! Fn Fx pro in bronze and some toyo open country at3 in 265/70/17

 

Fabbed up my bump pad and tacked it in place on passenger side.

 

Nuthin' spectacular. I did put my grille badges on today. Not sure if I'm diggin' it yet
...I know the ivan stripe is backwards in the pic, but I flipped it around properly afterwards

 

Do you mind sharing what spring compressor you used, and on what coilovers? I need to adjust my preload before putting my new coilovers, and all I have are the cheap and kinda sketchy spring compressors I've always hated using.

A lot lined up today.
I'll be cleaning my MAF and TB, greasing my TC upper control arms, cleaning the residual oil from my valve cover gasket replacement and then pulling the passenger front fender liner and air intake tube in preparation for installing my snorkel next weekend.

 

I love when my wife and I wheel with my buddies and she sees something on one of their trucks and says I should get it.

HELP! Replaced worn shocks and struts on 2012 Pre-Runner RWD, after consulting with Rancho settled on the Rancho RS9000XL with the understanding it would lift the front and rear, didn't really want any more lift than the standard factory Pre-Runner came with but liked the idea of adjustable ride comfort. Boom, got them on and the front is lifted but the rear looks like a tail dragger, almost a full inch lower than factory. Already installed so I can't return them to ShockSurplus. Any advice....please. The ride is oh so smooth it just looks funky. I was thinking of installing a rear lift only: Heavy Metal Suspensions-2" Rear Leveling / Lift Kit For 1995-2020 Toyota Tacoma 2WD 4WD Blocks + U-bolts. Would a 2 inch lift in the rear leaving the front quick lifts alone level this out and resolve the problem? Would pull my hair out if I had any.

 

Shocks don't provide lift. If you want to get some lift and retain the comfort then an add-a-leaf or full leafpack replacement is needed.

 

boogie3478 Thanks so much for the input. Now deciding whether to go 1.5 or 2. I would like it to halfway match the front but don't want to throw anything off in the back.
