I'm sure you all know about Graphene. My kid came to visit and showed me the Graphine finish on his truck. I couldn't believe the fresh look and feel. I'm just starting to learn about it.

Interesting video. In the end, with his testing, I didn't see any really noticeable difference between the 2. I guess it comes down to price and longevity, as in how they hold up in the real world one a car in the wild.

It's always rediculous even in Panamint. It's just cause you'd have to drive all the way out to Beatty, NV if you don't pay the price.

I've had reasonable success using a spray and wipe "quick wax" like Meeguiars Ultimate or Eagle Nanowax on the morning before I hit the trails. I spend usually 30 minutes giving the truck a quick wipedown. Pearl paint and off-road vehicle == high maintenance. The quick waxes have allowed me to avoid brush pinstripes.
Though I can't avoid a gouge from a broken or big limb. I try to keep it decent-looking,. Yeah, the frequent off-road trips will eventually take their toll. It's just not going to be a mall crawler.

I bumped into a comment from a detailer on Mud that I'm curious about in the link below. I wonder if the comment is about the amount of dirt, mud, and tree limb scratches that come with off-roading? Interesting comment.

Also, ceramic/graphene/metal oxide and off-roading do not mix. If you leave the payment, sealant and wax are the only way to go.

Bummer that scenes like that are nearly all but gone. Still pockets of em but even then, even if you go to a reading, not the same.

For sure. It turns out that the Coffee House, where we launch our monthly Rigs and Coffee meets, had been hosted readings. I'm sure it all stopped in early 2020 though.

I'm glad to see they are doing well in spite of covid. It does have a loyal customer following.

It's a great thing when an indie coffee shop does well.

For sure. I love their coffee. Better than the big chains for sure.

I was just thinking about watching the Village change from a distance. I see tech firms' offices in the area that once housed the beatnik coffee shops.

Looks like they want to be located near where their developers want to live. Rebels with a different and modern cause.
