Just cut the roof off, make it like a Jeep.

Miguel has plenty of M18 tools to help with that.

I guess I broke my power steering pump. Again this weekend

    So that’s neat

How did you break it? I kinda ruined mine lately by letting the reservoir screen clog up that starved it of fluid. I think it ingested some mud and dirt from offroading with the seal o-ring all wrinkled up.

I've been able to eliminate some of the noise with multiple flushes and some Lubriguard. I'm waiting for a new pump to arrive. I hope I can get through this coming weekend's off-road trip before I replace it.

Not an LC, but can confirm mileage with my GX...

Also, in the middle of trying to remove a stubborn CV. I've tried pry bars (both prying and hitting with hammer) but can't seem to get it to budge. Also tried the slide hammer method, nothing.

You guys have any additional tips?

I have gotten in the habit of perching my persuader (long ass prybar) on the CV and smacking it parallel to the direction of travel from the other side of the truck

Yeah, tried that too. I'm just not able to get enough purchase with the pry bar. It's an aftermarket axle and I'm wondering if it has a smaller lip than OEM. May have to grind the pry bar down a bit to more of a sharpened edge and try again in conjunction with the slide hammer.

Yeah those aftermarket ones that don't have the indentations on the housing for the pry bar suck hard. Duralast brand CVs from AutoZone are like that. I had a helluva time getting one of those off myself. Iirc I just had to wedge it between the CV axle housing and the diff tube and leverage it off that way, ended up doing a little cosmetic damage to the axle tube with the pry bar. But it finally worked.

It's hotter than the devil's taint today. Forecast says 96 but feels worse. We really haven't had many triple digit days this summer yet now that I think about it.

I decided yesterday would be a good day to rip out 30' of old chain link fence. It was 93 out with high humidity... and all I had was a sawzall, shovel, and an axe.

Only have around 120' of fence left to rip out :bananadead:

Ayup. They come out pretty easy. Its the vines and shit growing up into the fence that gave me the biggest fight.

More of that expensive privacy fence thats back behind it. Except Im gonna bring it out in front of the crawlspace door by about 15 feet. Wont do it all at one time to ease some of the wallet pain.
