Checkin’ in here! I have a 2008 Access Cab with the 4.0, auto trans, no cruise control, no power windows, no power locks, no intermittent wipers, no power mirrors. About as base as base gets without a manual transmission! They do exist out there.

I have modified it though, as you can tell. It’s still a base model at heart. Just did a 2100 mile round trip to Yellowstone!

Your description sounds like my truck, except it has power windows and locks (and mine was as base as it got for a 2015). Mine was about $24,000 new, which sounds dirt cheap now. You may not have the option, but I wouldn't be a buyer in this market. Things are just stupid out there right now.

There's even a kitchen sink in the back!! And good catch, seeing the car seat!

Mine also has the power windows and locks. I added intermittent wipers and a whole lot more - mostly things that were not an option from Toyota, like 2wd low range and heated mirrors.

Look for a Utility Package Tacoma. They are stripped down and intended for commercial fleets. No key fob, intermittent wipers, cruise control, jump seats or sliding rear window. I have a '15 Access cab, built a platform for the dogs in the back as my youngest has their own car now and I drive alone or with the pooches. You get used to the power windows.

I didn't want power windows or locks when shopping for a truck. I could reach across the cab of my old truck - a '95 Nissan. I'm not able to reach across the cab of the Tacoma so easily, therefor I have grown to like the power locks and windows.
