Wonder what shipping is on a whole deer?o_O

I use to do it myself, later I used a processor; now I give them to folks and they usually give me a stick or two of summer sausage.

I've always stopped and given some to whoever gave me permission to hunt their property and to say thanks again.

Yup just got back from one of the local shops. I currently have 2 scope options not sure which i want right now. Both will be mounted using the Talley precision lightweight 1 peice ring base combo.

First scope option. Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44. This has a ballistic reticle and no turret.

This is the reticle with ranges using hornady 143 ELD-x
    16290854524646138716877047180725.jpg

Second scope option. Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14x44. This has the windplex reticle and a ballistic turret.

Thinking im going to go Swarovski due to the limited time to devolp data to run a turret. With the reticle i can go zero, check my drop at a certain range and use the sticker. If drop is off i xan plug it in a calculator to get ranges at each hash mark and write them on some blank reticle stickers.

Also scored some ammo at the shop. They just got a shipment of 6.5 PRC in Sako with the sierra Gameking tipped 150gr. Never used em so ill give em a try and see how they go. Bought 100 rounds...may go back for the other 100 they got...not sure.

You mentioned 150g ammo, but looks like those be 140g, the calculation for that Swarovski scope might be perfect. If I didn't reload, I'd gamble and go buy a couple more boxes of it.
