I am looking at putting 1/2” spacers from @HeadStrong Off-Road or @Toytec Lifts on the front of my ‘19 SR5 DCSB with 265/75 r16’s to basically level out the rake. I’d keep the back stock.

Does this minimum type of lift/level warrant replacing the needle bearing with an ECGS bushing?

    Thanks!

    All of them.
On some trucks yes, on some no. It's a crap shoot if you'll get vibrations or not.

    Work in progress...
I would go with no. You are going to raise the front 1 inch, no worries.

I have a 1.5” lift up front with no ECGs bushing and it’s fine. No vibes.

I had vibes on the stock suspension. Did the bushing before my small 1.5in lift. Even though the vibes were always subtle, it is noticeably smoother now.

I had a 1/2" top plate on my tacoma for a little while (3/4-1" lift), it had the vibration and needed the needle bearing replacement. Since adding the bushing it has been nice and smooth.

Thanks for the info. Did you replace your 1/2 plate with something different or did you like like it?
Just curious which direction you went.

If you want to share an pics, I’d appreciate that a ton.

    Thanks!

I’ve heard of the needle bearing going bad at stock heights in rare cases. I replaced my bushing when I installed my 5100’s. It was a small price to pay for peace of mind down the road.

I went with an ADS coilover setup. I was using the plates to gauge ride heights while I waited for the coils to be built. To be honest, the small top plates sufficed well for most of what I do, minus the more speedy trips on unmaintained tracks.

    thanks!
that’s quite an impressive set-up. I don’t do any aggressive wheeling; mostly fire-roads, etc. to get to fishing and hiking spots.
I’m really wanting to do a 1” front level and or possible adding a 1” block to the back to keep a little rake.
