Definitely recommend this guy g8r_taco. I was worried about paying that much but soon as it was finished we took a drive. Soon as I put my truck in reverse and backed out of the parking spot I could already feel a difference. Every tacoma owner needs this! Apparently I was behind two updates and that shows that the toyota dealerships don't care about getting everyone these updates. I had the KDmax 6.0 tune after my update. Can't scream it loud enough again get this tune! Lol

 

Scott is great and I highly recommend him if you need a tune.
GET THE TUNE, best money you will ever spend and cannot get it from a nicer guy than Scott.

I reached out to Scott after reading about the KDmax tune. He was quick to respond and nice and easy to deal with. The meet up was scheduled for the next day. He even drove a little south to save me some drive time. When we met up he explained what he was going to do and answered all my questions. He took the time to do the tsb update, do the KD max flash and even updated the radio head unit. He even did a test drive with me after the flash.
All in all Scott was a pleasure to do business with and I recommend him to anybody wanting to do this.
As for the tune, the drive home was an absolute dream. I loved the way it shifts and cruises on the highway. Great throttle response and in town driving also. It feels like a new truck. I will be a repeat customer as updates come out.

I hit you up earlier regarding a tune for a 2.7L 2016 in the Jax area.

 

we do not tune 2.7L Tacoma's

 

I read that OV tune eventually made one for the 2.7, so I'm looking for anyone who does that, anyone have any advice?

 

Met up with Scott over the weekend to tune my 19 DCOR. I had two events recently that made me pull the trigger on the tune.
- I was making a left turn from a turning lane across a 3 lane busy road, plenty of time to cross so I press the gas and turn, and nothing for seems like forever while cars are bearing down on me! Finally the throttle kicks in and launched me across the road but man was it close!
- I was entering the interstate on a rainy day, had to move into the middle lane to pass the really slow car ahead of me that wouldn't get up to speed up the ramp, when I accelerated to pass them, the throttle surged and broke the back end loose going 70 on the interstate, that got squirrelly for a moment but I straightened it back out.

I don't see any of these issues ever happening with he KDMAX tune! The throttle is quick to respond, the shifting makes sense and feels "normal" now. The truck drives like it should have from the beginning, but more responsive and quicker. Havent seen any MPG increases yet, but the truck still needs to re learn.
Scott did a fantastic job and is super professional. He updated everything that the dealer has neglected to do even thought hey said they DID do updates last time I was in (LIARS!)
This is the best bang for the buck mod you can do to your truck!

Just got back from meeting up with Scott to tune my 2020 DC Sr5 4x4. I hit up Scott yesterday around noon and met up with him the next day. I was coming from Savannah and he met me half way to save me some time. Scott was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. I ended up choosing the 2nd most aggressive throttle response and let me tell you, it is a night and day difference. This is how the truck should have came factory. The shift are exactly where they need to be. No more random gear shifts while cruising or going up hill. Plus I gained roughly 2 mpg. The power delivery is there when you need it. My truck is extremely predictable and a lot more fun to drive. Thank you soooo much Scott. Worth ever single penny.

I had Scott install the KDMax LT tune today on my 4.88 geared and 33'' tires Tacoma. FINALLY, my truck feels how I've always wanted it to be. Scott is a very trusted top notch guy and I can not recommend enough that you contact him and get the tune! He also updated my head unit and got rid of my seatbelt chime!
