I thought you could buy the Pro shocks from the parts dept. Maybe you need a pro vin, but it's still expensive compared to aftermarket Fox, or other shocks.

I'd like to see the rear locker standard on all 4x4 models. Toyota could leave the locker off the Sport, since Toyota likes to do weird things like that.

I would have bought a BR truck yesterday, but it was RWD.

Actually, the Off Road has the highest resale value of all the trim levels.

Even if you spent $2,500 on a lift/suspension, you would still be miles ahead with the Off Road.

    No brainer.

 I would love to see this and the data that was analyzed to back this statement. I really hope your data is as hysterical as the last few people who have tried to prove this point.

I love the moonroof dude. Open it up + rear slider on the highway and you get great airflow. Use it all the time

I'd get a Jeep Wrangler convertible if I wanted airflow.

I really enjoy the sunroof in my truck too and use it whenever l can. Even in the middle of winter if it's a sunny day l may slide the sunscreen open.

Brother Ford F150 has the seat option too, its nice but not sure how often its actually used.
I'm sure the Pro just hasn't been analyzed since everyone already knows the resale is higher.

I love sunroofs especially since I live in sunny southern California. My Off Road has no sunroof but it’s ok since I have plans to get a custom panoramic sunroof installed. I was spoiled with one in my previous BMW X5.

Does anyone with a pro (bonus points if you’ve had a 3rd gen OR and pro) ever say something like, “a pro isn’t much better than an OR,” or, “it’s so much better than a pro”? I suspect some cognitive dissonance…
All I know is that I’m getting a pro MT for w/i 1k of what I would’ve paid for the OR I initially wanted. By the time I changed the grill, added a skid plate, and changed the wheels (no urge to change the TRD wheels), I would have been well beyond that.

Good luck. They are out there, those people. But I think you putting too much into it. Most everyone that has a pro is gonna say it’s better than the OR. While most everyone that has the OR will defend why it’s better. I think you just need to get an MT.

I agree with you. Why can’t we all get along?? Ha. Whenever humans can “other” folks, create an out/in group, or find a footing in superiority, they’ll take it. Then, whenever someone invests a ton of money/time, the aforementioned is compounded and people really have to defend their choices. As for me, at the end of the day, it’s a truck, my money, and I’ll be happy if it gets the job done that I want it to get done. With some of the wild things people do to their trucks, it turns into a comparing apples to oranges convo; both fruits just happen to have Tacoma slapped on them somewhere. This concludes my TED talk.

Quite a few people buy the Trd Pro and still end up modifying them with lifts and other accessories

I bought some sliders off of someone with 2019 pro. When I pulled up next to him with my stock suspension, (265/75/16 so I’ve got another half inch) I was like, Whoah how is the pro that much taller than the OR? Then he was like because it has a 3 inch lift (king). Duh.

This is a very accurate statement. Most people who buy a pro on TW will mod them. At that point an Off road seems more practical than a pro. I wanted a pro but they don’t make a 6 foot bed. Went with an off road. For very little money have made my off road better for my needs than a pro.
