So that harbor freight deal is only if you're not an inside track member yet. If you sign up by the 17th you get 10% off. If you're already an inside track member, get hosed basically.

I read it to say existing and new members get it, but only on the 13th and only on the 17th.

2 years ago I had a guy replace the rocker panels on my duramax, $1,850.00

I washed it the other day and noticed the passenger side is rusting under the rear door.

I took these pictures and sent them to the guy. He said it’s the Chinese metal, if I’d pay for a new rocker he’d replace it at no cost :frusty:

I’ve known this guy my whole life, he has his own business and does awesome work but what in the world? I’ve driven it less than 5,000 miles in 2 years.

I did this to my wife’s JK couple weekends ago. Mine got the exhaust spacers so my pan came out no problem…. Thought yours was lifted? Maybe it does have the spacers?

Sadly, and unfortunately, he's probably spot-on. Chinesium comes with corrosion built-in.

No spacers on mine. Just 2.5" lift said it wasn't required. I was skeptical, but the 2.5" from AEV doesn't have them either. Mine is Rubicon Express.
Soooo:rofl:......I just went back to bed for a hour or so, and now going to tackle it.
Talk about a early nap. I will check and see if it looks like it will clear the exhaust by removing the 2 bolts at transfer case and raising it up there. If not then it LOOKS easy enough to remove 2 bolts and loosen 2 bolts in order to lower the exhaust. :fingerscrossed:

Yeah I know, it just stinks as much as it cost to have them replaced. When he got done you couldn't tell it had been touched. I may just let it ride for a while, ugh!!!

Hope the pan has a drain plug.
If not and if that still has a transmission dipstick a fluid extractor makes the job much cleaner.

I in fact purchased a fluid extraction device. Yes, I've worn lots of transmission fluid. And made heck of a mess on driveway. Even with the jumbo cookie pan, managed to make a mess!

Wish I could find a couple of oompa-loompas...of course I'd pay them well.

I have had mine over 20 years, one of the tools you can't live without after you have it. Works great on mowers and the like too!

The drain pan and I have an adversarial relationship on the best days, seems even if I manage to get everything in it I can still find a way to kick, step in it or just dump it on the way to the used oil drum.

Pro tip: Don't drop a Torqueflight valve body on your forehead -- it will bounce -- directly into the drain pan...
Heck of a welt, heck of a mess...:crapstorm:

Next size socket down and a BFH. It'll come off better than with a die grinder
