double sided yes, but it's also snapped in with some plastic snaps, so don't yank the thing out like a dentist pulls a tooth. be easy with it, else you'll break a snap.

They disconnect very easily without tools. Just grab the inside of the pocket and push upward, then pull in a downward-out motion. They snap right out. Play with them for a second, it’ll make sense. Thanks to Jefferson for the thread on the DIY bedlights.

I was thinking of making them deeper or wider behind the body.. lost interest pretty quick, not much room, but if you had a purpose in mind, might make em to fit.

If you take em out you'll find the bottom is just snapped in place too. Might be able to rivet or plastic weld something deeper to hold tie down straps or something.

easier than you guys think just take a flat head screw driver to the top and pry out mine came out the easiest this way and then that actual cubby you pull out is 2 pieces so the bottum drops out of it

I'm thinking it's a decent place to put my wallet/keys/phone/misc junk when I blow up the air matress and go camping in the summer!

    Lots baby!

In my case, the other lights (outside the cubby hole) were put in when I first got the truck. It was one of my first mods.

When the cubby hole buckets kept falling out, I built the plexiglas covers and put leds behind it.
