    Anybody ever go hog hunting around near ATX/Waco/Killeen? Willing to travel within reason, would love to go slot some piggies without having to pay some of the ranch fees i'm seeing online.

    Just a heads up because I have buddies ask me to go to my FIL's 100 acres to shoot pigs all the time and this is what I tell them.

    It's a liability for the landowner because if you were to get hurt you or die, you or a loved one could sue him or file a claim against his insurance. People's negligence are what stop land owners from letting anyone go shoot hogs on their property. Usually you have to know the family for a long time before they'll let you know their land. That's why the hog hunt places exist because they carry that sort of liability insurance but you'll be the one to pay for it.

    Just in case you don't see any hospitality from others. But that's my 2 cents and people can do what they want

    That makes a ton of sense. I'm bummed the lawsuit culture has permeated this far, but I understand.

    Is there a marketplace to look at nearby leases that are reasonably priced?

    It seemed like independence ranch was just laughably insanely overpriced, but what do I know.

    Haha, I did check that but I can't find anything close to me here in Austin.

    Oh well, maybe I'll just give Independence Ranch a try with a one day hunt. I need to put my ZPAP to use.

    P.S. Your SAM7 is very tempting and if I didn't just buy this, i'd take it
