That's because I haven't ran a swaybar since before you were born. Ditch that thing.

Can't. I get seasick. And I'm not sure swaybars existed when I was born.

One of the funniest thing in life is seeing the flash of fear in someone's eyes as you make a tight turn right in front of them without swaybars

I would take Dramamine just for that

While we're on the topic of body roll. Long travel with 500 lb coils.

Seriously though, what was the speedo reading on that on-ramp?? Just for perspective, since I was more familiar with the roll on Betty White 3.0 vs. 3.5LT!!!

Here you go, I added the speed data that the GoPro captured. It’s about 30 mph.

It's really fun to drive too. The truck still feels really stable since it's low, wide, and a lot of suspension travel. On my way out of Potts trail last time, I was booking it. It's a tight windy mountain road and my tires were lightly screeching around corners but I was in total control. I like to pretend I'm a trophy truck driver.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
We have insurance through our bank for emergencies for our dog. I want to say our deductible is 1k, but I pay 25 bucks a month for it.

Figured if ours gets bit it will cover it. 25 dollars is wildly inexpensive compared to loosing a family member.

And that is exactly why the sway bar is staying for the time being. That, and I've been behind Randy and Adam when they're playing trophy truck. Considering this is my daily for now, I'm okay with a little lost wheel travel.

Have you ever been in or driven a truck without a swaybar on?

Yup. Most recently in Chris' where it felt like we were going over. Having been in a serious rollover accident (International flatbed tow truck), it's not a feeling I like to repeat. You have to keep in mind I have a 70 mile one-way commute in this truck. I'm cool with the way it is. I don't wheel like you do. If I can ever get this Silverado I inherited on the road I'll start going crazy with the Cheese-whiz on the truck. But right now I need to ride that fine line of weekend fun truck and commuting.

I'm not trying to sell ya on anything. When I first took my swaybar off (and was dailying the truck) I didn't like the tippy feeling. It definitely grew on me overtime though, and now I'm addicted.

The best middle ground for ya seems like it would be some swaybar quick disconnects, but I haven't seen a good offering for Tacomas.

Well, Chris's doesn't count, that thing is in a league of its own. I only ask because I really don't feel the lean that much since I'm moving with the body of the truck. I feel it more in rigid vehicles because the car is staying put but my body wants to lean from the G's. All I was getting at is, in my opinion, it's worth at least trying no sway bar, like for a test drive around the neighborhood. I think you may be surprised, that's all.

Maybe I'll try it when I put the rear Kings on. Decided to wait on the reservoir mount before I put them on. I also have to think about my wimpy wife. It's bad enough with her as a passenger.

Worst case you lose out on an hour of your life. Don't even need to take the tires off to unbolt the end links if you're on level ground.
