Right now the bumper is connected to the truck via only two bolts? Are these WIP photos? Need the frame tie brackets shown in step 34-35 of the install instructions.

I knew it wasn't yours. It's the 4wp manager's. What i meant was he didn't have it the last time I was there

Bumper is so new, they don't even have all the parts in for it yet.

Until that bracket goes in, the shackle mount is basically cosmetic. The bumper itself might even shift around on rough roads.

When you ask the boss what he wants to do with all the wood and he replies to throw it all out. I agree.

I'm looking to add an AAL and have read that the Headstrong one is better than the Icon. Do any of you have the HS one, or know anyone who does? I'm trying to decide if it is actually worth waiting. The Icon AAL is easy to get, but the HS one has been sold out for months with no idea when it will be back in stock.

Fwiw, I have the icon pack. By the time you remove all the stuff to put it in, you basically only get as much lift as the overload spring gives if you keep it in. I imagine all the others are the same. Certainly not 1.5" of lift.

Well the only reason I'm thinking about it is to try to reduce the amount of time I'm dragging my hitch or bumper over rocks. If I'm not going to get the 1.5" lift, what's the point? It's just hard to justify $1000 for a full leaf pack. Not to mention the wait, both for the extra funds as well as the delivery time.

High clearance bumper is another option but just as expensive. Once I installed mine, I don't hit anything anymore unless it's a massive drop.

The lift is the justification for the full pack. Obviously funds are key. I did a 1" block to get the lift. A single AAL might give you more actual lift but a worse ride without weight

Yeah, I'd like a HC bumper but as you said, it's at least $1000 plus the extra weight. I don't know how the stock springs would hold up to the extra weight.

Depends on the bumper. Go with something light like WarFab and the height decrease will be negligible.

My new to me HC bumper is going to go for powder coating in a week or so. Just need to finish rubbing the thicker patina off with my grinder.

    :cookiemonster:
