I know the Gooseberry area on the way to Fish Lake, but not much about the Uintas.

    not enough.
like...the entirety of the uintas is this. lol. I don't know of any "good" locations but it's hard not to find any location to camp in over there.

My power steering is starting to make a winding noise. Sitting at around 40,000 miles seems a little early, but so be it.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket solution that would provide more longevity for a modified Tacoma?

40K is early... but I gotta ask, how many Tacos have a power steering pump go out that early? What's the average milage/life of a Taco pump?

Personally I'd put an OEM pump back on it and expect 200K+ miles after that.

Yes, purchased a couple vehicles from them, and they do most all my maintenance.

If it turns out to be the pump, then most likely a Toyota pump will go back in. Curious what other options exist.

I just put a deposit down for a new tacoma Tuesday, sounds like you have had positive experiences? Went in for 2021 TRD off road build and he said it will be a 2022 TRD OF. But digging around I am having a hard time believing this considering there’s not much info about it. Says end of September but I am not going to hold my breathe. Let’s see what happens

Yes, to date I’ve had positive experiences. My Taco has been modified from its original form and they don’t give me any crap about it.

Being that it’s mid August, I’d say most factories have moved to 2022’s or are finishing up any 2021’s as stock vehicles and only taking builds for 2022.

Awesome, I was started to think I was sold some hopes and dreams that it could be completed that early. But at the price point of these 2018-2021 with 40-50k miles on it I could not pass it up. 2022 TRD OR under 41k. I asked if the price is locked in when placed deposit and he said it shouldn’t go up much if any, my worry was they get the order in and jack the price up on me based on current rates used Tacoma’s are going for. Excited is an understatement, I have been saving for a tacoma since 2017.

I was working with them for awhile this past year on an allocation order. I didn’t have the best experience. I had to contact them every 2 weeks and after about 6 weeks, they said they had a truck allocated to me but it wasn’t the color I requested and they sort of played it off like “well, it is what it is.”

Long story short, I got my deposit back and had a very seamless transaction with Collin over at Larry H Miller Toyota in Murray - I can’t say enough good things about him. Highly recommend.

I appreciate this, fingers crossed all goes well. Trying to be patient and not just pull the trigger on a used one

Honestly, I’m not sure. Anyone know what the factory warranty is on a Taco? I suppose I could call. For some reason I was thinking it’s three year and/or 36,000. I don’t recall Tacoma’s having a mind blowing warranty.

I’m kinda digging your name. I assume you’re a whiskey fan? Is it a play on the Rip Van Winkle that’s impossible to get?

Thanks! I’m a huge whisky enthusiast and an English professor, so it’s a play on the whisky I’ll probably never get my hands on and the short story “Rip Van Winkle,” (which the whisky is named after). :)

Hey guys, I'm new to the tacoma world. I live in SLC, and was wondering if there's any trails around here that I could do with little off- roading experience?
