its not the worst but its not great either. It does the trick I always like it in the mirror more which prob didn't help. Seems more natural backing up. def get running wires. that was one reason why I did not do it for a long time.

I like having both. Aftermarket camera near the third brake light and OEM in the tailgate. I still prefer the mirror cam. Feels natural and the first place I look to as well.

I installed the aftermarket cam for a broader view and to keep an eye on the bed when I'm hauling stuff. I still rarely use it.

I agree I just need to put my interior back in and relocate my stock but the plan was to have both view points. The aftermarket is a wider closer view for sure. Def need the stock one. For now the stock mirror is out

Partially there. Still have to set up my phone, steering wheel controls and reverse camera. I have to better secure the hazard switch. I wish I could use the surround from the old one Bc it has the pins to sit in the back which would help secure it. But so far it’s great. Need to comb through this thread for final set up but I’m taking a break for today haha.

Who has the head unit working with the Aux video in inputs? playing around with some ideas and I just get the exclamation when nothing is connected.

Ha naw but was going to maybe toss in a Nintendo classic or SNES classic. Got it all hooked up but wasn’t working. Might be the hack job of an Amazon converter I got.

Alright so I was playing with it a bit and I dont have the up/down or back button from the steering wheel that i can use on my dasaita. I do not have anything other than the wiring harness that came with the unit. I do not have a canbus and was trying to avoid ordering one if i can.

I am also having trouble with carplay for apple. I saw in one post that @Fistgar was able to get this to work wireless. Im curious if you got it through Zjinnova?

Like everyone else im having trouble with the hazard button so im going to make some brakets to screw in instead of spending $80-120 for that bracket from the 05-11 (I dont have a junkyard close with old tacomas)

Also need to download and get some of these apps started but i have android 10 so im not sure if everything, including agam @theolee I do like your displays so far.

Honestly best option is you needed the Canbus for 2015 that's the one that will get you the camera and easy program of the buttons. They should have sent you that one from the start. I originally had a non-Canbus harness, did the same t hing and it seemed to work, but it was a pain for the camera, so I just ordered that. The $24 or so will be way easier than hacking it. Once I got the Canbus it all fell into place.

The bracket sounds good. I found an old faceplate radio for $30, which was quick for me. No way I would spend $100 or more. I ordered mine off ebay as I have no yard with one near me either.

I agree with @nudavinci64 on the canbus deal..

I'll ask around and see if anyone has a bracket they don't need. I also saw a couple tw market place part outs posted this weekend. I'll check those out too and let you know.

I'm sure those headunit launchers will work, if not better with 10.0. I'm currently not running one anymore. I'm content with just running with the preloaded interface.

Same here. I do have a modified OS or whatnot that adds some nice features but the interface itself is normal. I liked it better.
