Think 10 times bigger than a squirrel...and in my garden.
When I shoot that particular one fucking my garden, and I'm waiting for another one to arrive, I work over the groundhogs on the farms hereabouts.
Do that and the Mennonite farmers will be your best friends.
    Hunting privileges.

I sold my old .222 Rem (Triple Deuce) a few years ago to a kid at the Club.
It was a very plain old Savage, but still exceptionally accurate.
Nobody chambers a rifle for .222 any more and quality ammo is scarce.
.222 Rem came out in 1950 and took benchrest shooting and varminting by storm.

    I built a .223/5.56 NATO AR-15 last year.
.223 is basically a .222, lengthened slightly with the shoulder moved forward.
Because the neck is therefore shorter, the bullet is not so positively centered on bore axis.
But since it's a military round, it's widely available and fairly cheap.
Or anyway, now that last year's hoarding has eased up.
.223/5.56 NATO is what killed .222 Remington.

I confess I didn't expect my AR to be as accurate as it turned out to be.
If I was still reloading metallics, I'm sure I could do even better.

The XM-193 stuff made at the military contract Lake City plant is only mediocre for accuracy...but cheap for shooting steel silhouettes.
The Russian bi-metal steel cased ammo made at Tula stinks.
Literally. (Dunno what powder they use...ugh).
    And it's not accurate either.

    Sierra BlitzKings are pretty good.
    Shot in a crosswind :notsure:

I wonder how much they paid that guy to model those diapers?
I can just imagine the jokes from my friends at the Club if I was that guy. :boom:

Average snowfall in Johnstown, PA is 51 inches each year (and it stays on the ground all Winter).
In Erie, it's 101 inches.
    (Lake Effect snow).

Mrs Gritto wants to move to Johnstown when We (meaning Me) are no longer able to maintain this house.
Cuz of all her family there.

She can move there when I croak. :)

I’ll let you in on a secret. The dams burst and flooded the town. It was a repeat of almost 100 years before when the dam failed and killed lots and lots of people. Johnstown should be carved out of Pa and added to West Virginia. o_O

You'd think after 100 years they'd have figured that out.

You’re right. Maybe it should be added to Arkansas instead of West Virginia. I’ll work on that.
