Not the recommended way to test glue joint strength. Be safe out there.

I do, I actually replaced the bearings in the motor recently and put new electrical cords on it. I mostly just use it for wide cross cuts when I'm breaking down boards that I have milled. This is a smaller dewalt radial saw and takes an odd 9" blade. But its vintage, and all cast iron and cool in my book so i still use it.

I acquired one in a multiple saw deal a few years ago when my neighbor passed away and quite honestly I don't know what to do with it. It's mounted on the metal cabinet stand etc. The cord needs replaced on this one too.

I was thinking about tossing it out because I need the space for a drum sander. Not really sure if there's a market for them these days.

It kinda depends on the model, if it's a 10 or 12 inch then it's worth something. You could probably sell it for something. If it's an older cast iron saw it has value.

Which Dewalt model is that? DWP611? I'm in the market for a new router and open to suggestions.

Yup that's it. It came with a plunge base too. My girl bought it for me as a gift. I really like the small compact size, it's easy to handle and great to use with smaller round over bits etc. For bigger ogee bits and the like I still like a full size Bosch or porter cable, makita, etc.

Would love to learn the trades of woodworking. I was a fabricator for the Air Force, but wood is another game. Similar, but now that i’m getting settled in a new home, i want to build my own furniture with wood. I’m an awesome welder, too! Haha dimes all day

My wife recently: "You used to be so into woodworking until you started obsessing over this truck you don't have yet..." She isn't wrong, and now this thread...what next, a thread that involves whisk(e)y, tacomas, and woodworking?? She's never going to see me again.

Hey all, just introducing myself - hope to contribute to this one as well (check out my woodworking on instagram, if you're into that sort of thing: @xylology_est2018). My 2021 pro should be here by the start of Sept. Apart from my sawstop, I'm rocking a ton of grizzly. Kumiko/Japanese joinery as well as Arts and Craft-style joinery is my jam, Isla and anything peated is my Scotch preference, and I do enjoy a nice walk on the beach.

If you weren't in the desert a bazillion miles away I'd let you have it!

@wilcam47 How about both?? So much safer to drink while woodworking, it reduces the anxious shakes as I use my table saw ;)

As for woodworking, this is what I'm currently working on. The kumiko panel/door slides left to right. The dividers will eventually have drawers in them.

Just ordered the L1 Laserpecker engraver. I’ll post a review in a few weeks.
