2010, manufactured in August 2009, and purchased on September 30th of 2009; My dad financed the truck because he got such a great rate (0.9% APR, and for three years I believe). I believe Carfax shows it as actually being titled in early October 2009. The truck was paid off in either late 2012 or early 2013 and was titled in my dad’s name until December 2016, when my dad transferred ownership to me. My dad just gave me the truck and we are obviously related, and I kept the same license plate, so Carfax shows it as having only one owner…

Which is infuriating because the TSB for the CRC application specifies that they are supposed to to so and even specifies various power tools that are available to them to assist in doing so.

Frame is fine, but the service manager told me to bring it in a week before warranty expires and he’ll see what he can do… ;)

Just as I expected. As I stated earlier, your frame looks fine. I doubt much will change between now and just before your eligibility expires. If you're truly worried about it rusting out, get the small number of areas cleaned up, the rust neutralized and painted, then get the whole underside of the truck coated with a decent oil based product like Fluid Film, Woolwax or Waxoyl. Do this after your eligibility expires of course.

They’re doing the bare minimum and we all know it. It took them maybe 3 hours to do mine. 3 hours!?! No way they removed the existing rust prior to CRC application.

They had mine overnight when they did it in 2017…

Also, my frame was not particularly rusty when they did the first coating under the recall; If I lived in Michigan or upstate New York, or anywhere in New England, it likely would have been a different story…

However, I have only taken my truck out in serious snow a few times and I always washed it religiously after driving on salted roads.

And it looks like I’m gonna end up remedying the rust after the recall warranty is up, because there’a no perforation…

I had mine done in February. I got it home and the CRC was dripping everywhere. I asked them to remove it, they replied no. Then I told them to bake the truck in their paint shop, that dried the CRC…

I think it was simply the weather in south east Pa. The CRC probably requires x temperature at x amount of time and x % humidity to properly cure…

I can safely guarantee the CRC is hiding other trouble spots

You will never qualify for a frame replacement based on that little bit of corrosion. But I've said that before several times.

So, I honestly don’t think my frame is too far gone…

Once warranty is up get it sanded down and coated properly?

It's an 11 year old truck. My 2014 with a full Ziebart undercoating job and yearly re-sprays - washed every single day in the winter - didn't look anywhere near that good when I sold it this past spring. You're seriously over thinking this.
