yeah, I was noticing that. probably not a great solution, but they're still better than the runningboards I had cancelled I guess

My PDR guy removed a mystery dent from my hood this morning. The guy is a fucking magician! Absolutely no trace this dent ever existed.

No. As any true Tacoma user knows, you use your medical kit when you get an 'ouchie' - and some duct tape. This solves any crisis (correct me if I'm wrong here).

Ooooookay. You asked... so here you go.

So you show this relay. This is a KC3300
    KC3300_TopView.jpg

Same thing as this relay - but different view showing the bottom of the Relay.
    KC3300_Relay.jpg

THIS is how they are typically setup.
    Typical_KC3300a_Diagram_With-Pins.jpg

The included instructions - missing the required PINS from the relay to really answer those annoying questions...
    20210813_160638.jpg

AAAAAANNNNDDDD... here is that part of the instructions - with PIN numbers added in...
AS you can see - up top on the lights - you see they have a WHITE, BROWN and BLACK wire on each light. I think the design is that the HIGH light has both the HIGH and LOW lights active at the same time - and the LOW light just with it as one light - not both.

In *this* Wiring diagram - the switch has two functions (HIGH) with the "=" sign, or (LOW) with the "-" sign.
The yellow on the switch acts as the *common* 12v pole between them.

So its one of these conditions:
Switch in Center: "o" will do Nothing
Yellow + White: "=" Sets to High Beam (with both High and Low lights active at same time) - switch acts as pass through for dual power to each light which is why the yellow has that 3A fuse on it.
Yellow + Green: "-" Sets to Low Beam (with just low light on)

Since your lights operate with High (with *BOTH* the low and High lights active at same time) or Low (with just low on) - this is why it's wired up like that.

    It's confusing, yes.

I started to see some nasty corrosion forming on my battery terminals especially the negative side.

So I got some of these things to try to clean and prevent it

NOCO NCP2 MC303 Oil-Based Battery Terminal Protectors, Anti-Corrosion Washers, And Battery Corrosion Pads (Pack of 2) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001DKUTR0

NOCO Remove+ E404 14 Oz Battery Terminal Cleaner Spray And Corrosion Cleaner With Acid Detector https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B002MGTNX0

NOCO NCP2 A202 12.25 Oz Oil-Based Battery Corrosion Preventative Spray, Corrosion Inhibitor, And Battery Terminal Grease https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001DKRGLM

Will see how well it works. I sure have enough to do so many more cars now.

Even if you don’t think it’s going to be “that hot” out- bring in your soda from the truck. All 12 exploded within 30 seconds as I was driving home. Weather tech is no match for that kind of firepower. E5175AD9-EF10-4315-87EA-2B1604CDD4B2.jpg

finally got a chance to install my new front suspension setup. Dobinsons shocks and springs with Poly Performance upper control arms in the front. Dobinsons readr shocks and Dobby leaf pack. currently sitting about 1/2 inch higher up front, hopefully it levels out once it settles. Drives like a dream.

Did a total interior clean today since the weather was nicer than most recent days and after 2 roads trips totaling over 3,300 miles in the past 2 weeks it was overdue rather than just a simple vacuum and wipe down. First started with the sprayable leather cleaner and then used the leather conditioner for added protection. I understand the first has built in conditioner but it leaves it really dry and I like the added protection and feel after I use the conditioner. For all other surfaces I used the inner clean and it smells really light and refreshing, does not leave a shiny finish and cleans well. Here's a tip I learned years ago, I use a variety of unused soft makeup brushes to clean all the little crevices, vents and areas where I don't want to either miss anything or scratch any delicate surfaces like the instrument cluster. So far I have been very pleased with the products offered by Chemical Guys and they are readily available at the big box stores. Have quite a few their exterior products as well and so far I have been pleased.

Did you know what it was when all the chaos started?

I had that happen with just a single Coke when I was a kid and it made a a huge mess! Luckily, it was in a rental car. I just remember my family coming back to the car and seeing what looked like rain on the windows and it hadn’t rained and it took us a second to realize it was on the inside.

I had a can of Coke Zero explode on me early summer. Wouldn't have even known had it not been for the can top being ripped open like yours. No sign of any spray anywhere, including the windshield! I assumed it was because there is no sugar in Cole Zero but it sounds like your sugar free drink didn't give the same results.

Finally found a steering wheel cover that fits.
Left it in the sun to loosen up and that made it a relatively easy install.

Got to the car after work, started and was about 4 mins into my AC drive. Heard something explode behind me. I though something was wrong with the truck and I was really worried a tire had popped. As the others started popping I realized what was going on. Grabbed the box off the rear seat, put it on my floorboard.

I guess the cans might have slightly contracted as the car cooled, but the soda stayed super hot.

got it cleaned up now, trying to dry out the seats and carpet.

SSO Slimline bumper and stage 2 high clearance kit, plus a Smittybuilt 10,000 lbs winch. Had to delete the Stealth light bar because it was about a cm from clearing the top of the winch. Bummed about that. The wife did jump in to help though, that was a plus. Cutting up your truck is always nerve racking.
