My neighbor has some black walnut he was trying to sell. He cut it into 24” logs for firewood, I told him it would have been better to leave the tree in 10 ‘-14’ logs. I’m not paying for black walnut firewood…

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I know the feeling. I've been looking for my shop dust pan for going on 3 weeks. I've decided the only way I'm going to find it is if I buy another...which I did...Sunday morning. Now we wait...

They would be good for bowl blanks id the log is thick enough.

We have one like that at my folks' place. Every year, we expect it to come down but it's hanging in there. A cool old veteran of a tree.
My brother thinks he will be able to get a couple boards out of it though...someday.

Lesson learned on the 25 mile journey down 83 South off the Turnpike. If you ain't goin 75-80 you're getting run over. Even in the 55 section o_O

I had a huge Cherry tree that menaced the garage roof -- part of it fell, $3000 later I had the roof fixed up ...

For $600 more I had a tree guy come and cut the rest down saving me the 2 logs, 14' or so long. The base log was over 36" across, it made the back of the old forklift feel quite light but she did lift it. I sold them to a fellow who does woodworking.

Even in the 45mph zone we were all doing 70+ o_O Even though I warned her it was gonna be sketchy, I scared mother a little bit.

Then they were doing construction on the Turnpike tunnels and the last one not even 10 miles from my exit came to a standstill because people don't know how to merge. I'm done with traffic today....

Got the mountain bike out for the first time in what seems like forever. Did a few loops @ Milton state park.

I sold mine to a friend and now when I want to ride I don't have one. Time to invest in another bike.

Had an old elm last year that was the nastiest shit I've ever split.

Also tires arrived, so 2/3rds of the way there. Hopefully the wheels arrive next week and I can finally see where they won't fit. Looking like the bumper may need a little trim.
