    Hello Peeps,

I have a 2016 trd sport, I notice that at 40 moh truck will vibrate (similar to if you are driving over rumble strip). Did some research and ppl are saying it is the transmission and it may need a fluid change. I am located out of the usa,so I am looking for diy solutions. Any ideas. Thanks.
    Chet

I doubt it's the tranny. Rumble strips at 40 make me think needle bearing.

    Miles and mods?

Most likely a bearing of some sort. Needle, carrier, wheel…something is vibrating.

Well the standard procedure is to try it in 4wd at 40 and see if it goes away and report back.

Needle bearing in front driverside is easy to eliminate and then move on.

That being said it's just one possible culprit and it just as easily could be a wheel bearing or such. With your mileage everything is an option lol.

Hear me out, bearing is a possibility, but are your tires balanced? that sounds more like a rumble to me. especially at higher speeds. Any shaking?

Everything is balance, no shaking at any speeds or when braking. The issue is an intermittent one, it doesn't happens all the time. I dont think it is the carrier bearing, i had a 09 tacoma with a carrier bearing issue and this is different. With this issue when its happening if i come off the accelerator a little bit then accelerate again the rumble goes away, it seems to me it happens in a particular gear.

Try to record it next time you hear it. Also, since it doesn’t happen all the time… are you… driving… on the rumble strip?!? Lol
