    Removing the lower bolt on the coilover gave me the space I needed. And yeah, I think you're right; most write ups are either sans sway bar or w/OEM coils which are much smaller.

    I replaced my door checks. Used this video as a guide:

    It made a big difference. My doors will stay open now, even on a slope. I had forgotten there is a half way open spot it also will stay at. Hasn't done that for years.

    While I had the door panels off I also replaced the outside door handles with the all metal ones I bought a few months ago.

    I keep forgetting I need to do this. Which is funny because mine haven't worked in the 5 years I've had the truck. I've just gotten used to it I guess. Would be nice to not have to hold the door open on everything but flat ground.

    Painted my original bumper. Had to remove the rubber rocker guard first. I originally sprayed over the rust.

    Exactly!! I designed it so if I ever wanted to make it a dual swing out I can. The arm is about 2ft I think.

    I decided to make my own swing rather than use there because I didn't like the idea of using 2 heim joints as a hinge.

    Did some proof of concept spacers on @Box Rocket old roof rack to get it level with my shell rack. I’m now about a 1/4” high on the front rack but not a big deal since it was an 1” lower before hand. I’ll get some steel or aluminum spacers next weekend and get everything finalized.

    Also got my RCI engine and trans skid finally mounted after cutting the front lip off the engine one. Needed to get a few replacement 40mm skid plate bolts since I was missing some in my rci hardware bag. Nice to have some actual protection underneath.

    82E18F9E-8B2F-4144-A49C-CFAAE6F7CAFC.jpg

    And the best part of the afternoon was noticing my carrier bearing was completely trashed. I saw a tear in the rubber when putting the trans skid and pushed on the drive shaft thinking it would show some play and to my surprise the entire rubber pice is completely separated from the housing. It’s just bouncing around in there. That’s what I get for letting it slip down the maintenance list.

    noticed a leaking from my front half moons today... just recently replaced my valve cover gaskets, thought i did a well enough job sealing those up
    i guess not
    :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:
    im assuming theres not a good way to fix that besides pulling the valve covers again

    If it helps, I think I knocked out the carrier bearing in a little over an hour taking my sweet time. Keep the driveshaft attached and it's a quick job.
