I agree, the frame being way to flexible for what we are all trying to do with it. With my bed loaded or unloaded on the trails, I can see it bounce around the back like crazy in my side mirrors. I’m planning on slowly boxing my frame as I have the down time available to me but I have to address it at some point, either on my terms or the trails terms. The whole thing needs to be boxed, front to back and most of the cross members and supports need to be stiffened as well. Happy, happy, joy, joy.

I’m going to end up caging mine. The fiancé believe it or not is pushing me in that direction. She feels a little uncomfortable in it at times as a mid travel. I’m sure things will be a good bit different with long travel. So I guess that time is coming sooner than I anticipated.

I felt really safe driving home from work today... and the best part was I felt zero frame flex :)

Does that cage only cover the cab and back half or is it running up front too? Debating on how I would like to tackle mine when its done.

I stubbed it out through the front when I did the cage. I didn’t do an engine cage as we used the truck to prototype the inner fenders and I also doubt the 4.0 slow engine will be in there much longer

So i see the inner fender group buy got alot of attention but was there also mention of a group buy on the rear mount tank? I think i may have use for two of those tank relocation kits...

You should call the shop and talk to Harry about it. I'm pretty sure he is considering doing this but you should find out from him directly. I currently have one hooked up to my truck in the shop right now in an auxiliary tank configuration. It includes some rear frame boxing components too which is pretty sweet

Seem to remember someone talking about using the lower part of that kit for storage under the bed instead of or before adding the cell later on or am i just making that up?

I could see it, I mean, its a big box that bolts between the frame rails.

Definitely. Couldn’t tell from the picture on the site if the cell made up the lower portion or if it dropped down into a box thats welded in. Dont need a cell now but could see wanting to add one in the future so the extra storage would be cool in the meantime. Might not be as much space as im envisioning though

Definitely Call the shop and I'm sure they could get you a price on just the box when they are ready to sell em. The 'cell' is just a gas tank from a suburban IIRC that drops in to comply with California's regulations.

Not anymore. I registered but decided I’m going to URE Thur-sat instead since it’s closer and I won’t be away from my wife and son as long.

Oh boooooo I was looking forward to wheeling with you. I’m trying to convince Harry to bring the silver Tacoma but he apparently can’t get his hair right with the humidity :crapstorm:
